Boha Moon

Boha Moon (2006) violin

was born in South Korea. Since 2021 she has studied with J. Špaček in Prague, having previously studied at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts with Prof. Nam-yun Kim and at Manhattan School of Music Precollege with Prof. A. M. Almani. She has won 1st prize at many competitions including Kocian violin competition 2022 (Czech Republic), EuroAsia International competition 2020, Singapore Violin Festival Competition 2019, Ishikawa music award 2019, Ewha & Kyunghyang 2018, and Music Chunchu 2015.

 

In additional, she won 2nd prize at the Leonid Kogan Competition 2020 and 5th prize at the Menuhin Competiton 2021. Also she got the annual award of the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts and the chairman’s award of Yewon & Seoul Art High-school.

She has performed in masterclasses with musicians including M. Martin, K. Sahatci, N. Bendix-Balgley, Ph. Draganov, K. Aroutiounian, A. Schnarch, M. Beaver and K. Harada.
