Filip Rufer


Filip Rufer (2002) cello

Filip began playing the cello at the Primary School of the Arts in Červený Kostelec under J. Šimková. In 2022 he graduated from the Pardubice Conservatory, where his professors were J. Krečmer and J. Zemen. In the same year, he was accepted as a student of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He has won several prizes at the Jan Vychytil International Competition in Prague, 2nd and 3rd prize at the Gustav Mahler international competition in Jihlava, 1st prize at the “Youth and Bohuslav Martinů” competition in Polička, 2nd prize at the ProBohemia Ostrava international competition (2019), and 1st prize at the Talents for Europe competition in Dolný Kubín (2021).


Together with the “Trio con brio” piano trio, he won 1st prize at the Camerata Teplice competition (2022). As a soloist, he has performed with a number of orchestras, including the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, and the Pardubice Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. In 2020-22 he was a member of the PKF - Prague Philharmonia orchestral academy. He has also participated in many masterclasses with cellists such as E. Rovner, P. Nouzovský, J. Bárta, and M. Kaňka.
