Ondřej Soukup

Ondřej Soukup is a young conductor with international experience. His broad repertoire includes Wagner's opera Das Rheingold. He is a multi-faceted musician with rich practical experience, encompassing symphonic, operatic, choir, and contemporary music. He is appreciated by his teachers and colleagues for his musicality, leadership ability, and the enthusiasm he radiates towards musicians and the public.

 

In the 2021-22 season, Ondřej will play a debut with the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic and the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic. As a conductor at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, Ondřej holds the position of assistant conductor of the RCM Symphony Orchestra and the RCM Philharmonic. His teachers at RCM are T. Purser, P. Stark and H. Williams.

 

Ondřej conducts the Universities of London Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with opera ensembles such as VoiceArc, the Berlin Opera Academy, Dramatic Voices Program, the RCS Symphony Orchestra, and the Edinburg Royal Choir, and with artists such as Martyn Brabbins, Jac van Steen, Thomas Allen, and others.
